Atlantic 10 teams send gear to victims of flood in Houston

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzAugust 30, 2017No Comments3 Mins Read

Following a flood that has ravished Houston and the surrounding area in Texas these last few days, college basketball teams across the nation are participating in an effort to provide relief. College basketball programs are sending gear — shirts, shoes, and whatever else they’ve got — in order to help those that have lost their homes and personal belongings in this natural disaster. Kelvin Sampson, head coach of the Houston Cougars, has been the one leading the charge, and he’s started a movement that’s catching on enormously. Each day, more and more teams are helping provide to those in need, and the Atlantic 10’s been joining in. Even the A-10 conference made an effort to send support to Houston. Here’s a look at the conference’s efforts thus far.
