Atlantic 10 Saturday Games: 12/21/19

Oof. Not the kind of news any of us were hoping for today.

 
George Mason is 11-1, and the Atlantic 10 is 5-2 on the day. Really no major surprises. Every team that was favorited to win has won thus far. Let's finish strong with wins over Colorado and Kansas St.!
 
Exciting day of A-10 hoops. 6-3 for the league with Saint Louis pulling off the upset against Kansas St. and Dayton getting beat at the buzzer in overtime. Losses like those hurt for the Flyers, but the Billikens made a huge step in the right direction by winning on the road. Still impressed with both teams, and I'm excited to see them play. I don't know how Dayton is going to match SLU's physicality, but UD can certainly outshoot anyone, and they have Obi Toppin. Just a bummer that Colorado was clearly the better team on the glass and played much tougher inside. All in all, still a great game, and Dayton should still be in the top 20.
 
Justin Kier missed today's Mason game with a minor ankle issue, but it sounds like he should be fine for the TCU game. The Patriots shot it better from 2 today, which needs to be a trend. Also, Jordan Miller is quietly up to 48% from 3 on the season.
