Joe Bamisile’s season-high 23 points and 11 rebounds powered VCU to a decisive 66-47 win over the visiting Penn Quakers on Monday night at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. The Rams (8-2) never relinquished their lead after surging ahead late in the first half, securing their fourth straight victory in dominant fashion.

Bamisile’s all-around performance marked his third career double-double and second 20-point effort of the season. He set the tone early, scoring 13 of his points in the first half to help VCU establish a 36-25 advantage at the break.
Max Shulga contributed 14 points and seven rebounds, connecting on 6-of-11 shots from the field, including two 3-pointers. Phillip Russell added nine points and a season-high seven assists, while Jack Clark provided a defensive presence with 10 rebounds and six points.
For Penn (3-7), Ethan Roberts led the way with 14 points, and Nick Spinoso added 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Despite their efforts, the Quakers struggled against VCU’s stifling defense and dominant rebounding.
