ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Ebrahim Kaba, the 6’9″ wing out of The Peddie School in New Jersey, has announced his commitment to play for Mark Schmidt and St. Bonaventure. He chose the Bonnies over offers from Richmond, Fordham, North Texas, Northeastern, and UC Santa Barbara, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

He will join the 2024 recruiting class, committing shortly after an official visit to Bonas in September. Kaba can shoot the ball at a high rate over the top of defenders thanks to his frame, while also causing turnovers and quick offense in transition, providing the “3-and-D” archetype that every team covets.

“The relationship with [St. Bonaventure] is good and they have a great track record,” Kaba told 247sports during his recruitment process. “The coaches believe in me and they have a plan for me and my game. They also showed me what they will do to get me better and to the next level.”

He will slide in next to the younger talent on the Bonnies roster to provide an additional threat on the wing, creating space on the floor by knocking down shots from the perimeter.

The highly coveted recruit held offers from 30 schools, including Bonas, according to VerbalCommits.com. He will highlight Schmidt’s 2024 recruiting class as the first commit of the new group prior to coming to campus as a first-year player next season.

Until then, here are some highlights of the newest Bonaventure commit.
