Well, the mettle of the conference was tested this week, and I can’t say with certainty we passed with flying colors. Both UMass and Saint Joseph’s lost Quad 1 games, both which would’ve been critical resume builders for a conference that’s looking to be a multi-bid league in back to back years for the first time since the 2015 and 2016 seasons. But, UMass remains within striking distance and time will tell how the rest of the field fares. The week ahead look to be much quieter, as UMass, Saint Joseph’s, Rhode Island, Loyola Chicago, and Dayton all idle this week.
