“Saint Louis was the place for me on and off the court, the way the program is run and the way everybody is so connected is something you don’t see all the time,” Medley told A10Talk. “I can’t wait to get there and learn and be better.”
Medley is a 6 foot tough-as-nails floor general with elite quickness. He’s capable of both distributing the ball and creating his own shot. He can score on all three levels, but his greatest strength is his passing. Medley had a breakout summer, averaging 5.1 assists for Pro Scholars, good for 6th best in the circuit. He also added 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds. In his junior year at Camden, he averaged 10.2 points and 3.9 assists per game.

Medley already has at least one big fan in St. Louis: Yuri Collins. The current SLU point guard approvingly tweeted at Medley when he posted photos of his visit to SLU, as well as when he committed. Medley profiles as the successor to Collins. Those are big shoes to fill, but Medley is used to the bright lights, playing alongside the 2023 number one recruit DJ Wagner and 5 star center Aaron Bradley both at Camden and for Pro Scholars in the Nike EYBL.

Medley is ranked as a 3 star recruit by 247Sports. SLU identified him as a target earlier this summer and moved quickly and decisively to lock him down. SLU offered Medley on July 11 and he committed August 6. Travis Ford’s staff has shown a talent for identifying and developing 3 star talent, with stalwarts such as Collins, Fred Thatch, and Gibson Jimerson ranked 224, 324 and 465 by 247Sports respectively. Medley shares a lot of characteristics with that core with his toughness and compete level, and the way SLU zeroed in on him so quickly implies the Billikens believe they have something special in the point guard from South Jersey.
