Last night in the A10

Ray FlorianiBy Ray FlorianiMarch 1, 2022No Comments1 Min Read

In the lone game on tap in the A10, one team continued its winning ways of late, another continued its downward spiral….

Fordham 85 UMass 73

Possessions: 70

Offensive efficiency: Fordham 121, UMass 104

It’s three of the last four in the win column for the Rams. Fordham beat the visiting Minutemen at their own game, the three pointer. Kyle Neptune’s group shot 11 of 19 for 58% from downtown. Fordham shot better from three  than two (46%) point range. UMass, in a three game losing streak, was 6 of 29 (21%) and forced into a 20% turnover rate. Chuba Ohams,  did not attempt a three, while posting another double-double. The 6’9” Fordham senior scored 23 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, both game-high figures. Josh Colon-Navarro added 14 points highlighted by three of four shooting beyond the arc. Noah Fernandes and Michael Steadman shared scoring honors for UMass with 13 each. Fordham is now 7-9 in A10 play while UMass fell to 5-11.
