In a grind it out tempo Davidson captured their third straight. The visiting Wildcats shot a blistering 48% from three point range. On the night they rang up an eFG percentage of 63%. Hyunjung Lee set the pace  for Davidson with a game-high 27 points, canning 6 of 9 from deep. Kevin Easley’s 16 points led Duquesne. Dukes struggled on both ends of the floor as the efficiency attests. On the game they were forced into a 21% TO rate. 

Fordham 60 La Salle 54

Fordham made it three of their last four in the win column and swept the season series against the visiting Explorers. Chuba Ohams led the way with game-highs of 20 points, 13 rebounds. Ohams committed six  turnovers Sunday against George Mason, in last night’s game that number was cut in half. Christian Ray led La Salle with a 12 point, seven rebound outing. Fordham, third in A10 defensive efficiency (96) limited La Salle to a 43% eFG percentage. 

VCU 72 George Mason 66

Turnovers were the story. VCU forced visiting George Mason into a 26% turnover rate en route to their ninth of their last ten in the win column. On the offensive end Mike Rhoades’ group kept their own miscues under 20% with a 19% showing. Rams showed good balance with four in double figures. Adrian Baldwin led the way with an 18 point, 7 rebound, 4 assist outing. George Mason was paced by D’Shawn Schwartz with a game-high 22 points. 

Dayton 82 UMass 61

Offensive efficiency: Dayton 130, UMass 103

Flyers rolled to their fifth straight victory. A slower tempo saw Dayton post an outstanding efficiency. Anthony Grant’s group actually shot better from three (59%) than two (56%) point range. For the game Dayton’s eFG percentage was 66%. Balance and depth were key for Dayton. Five Flyers hit double figures. The leading scorers came off the bench as Joby Brea and Mustapha Amzil shared scoring honors with 16 points each. UMass was led by Michael Steadman with 14 points while CJ Kelly added 11. Both teams had nine turnovers each for a 15% rate.
