Duquesne COVID-19 protocols cancel non-conference finale versus Wofford

Ed Major IIBy Ed Major IIDecember 22, 2021No Comments1 Min Read

The Duquesne Dukes’ non-conference finale against Wofford Wednesday has been canceled, the Duquesne athletic department announced Wednesday via a press release. The press release cites COVID-19 protocols within the Duquesne program. It does not elaborate about positive cases or who may have been involved.

The Dukes sit at 5-7 on the season, riding a two-game win streak over New Hampshire and UC Irvine. Duquesne will open their conference season on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at Davidson, who is 9-2 and on an eight-game win streak. The Wildcats recently defeated the No. 10 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide 79-78 Tuesday.

The Dukes will return home to face George Mason on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Cooper Fieldhouse.
