It is the last week of the regular season before all of our eyes turn to Brooklyn. Dayton has already wrapped up the regular season title, but there is still the business of finishing undefeated in conference play still left for the Flyers. Rhode Island, Richmond, and Duquesne hold onto the other double-bye slots, for now. Those all need to be decided this week. We got a mere two games left, but a ton to be decided, which is why this week’s guide is a little longer. Here’s what to watch for this week!
Dayton at Rhode Island
The biggest game of the week for sure, the Flyers seem to have one last big test standing in the way of 18-0. Rhode Island would love nothing more than to ruin that as well as get back in the at-large discussion into the NCAA Tournament. The Ryan Center is going to be electric in this one. This has potential to be the best game of the A10 season.
The game is on Wednesday on CBSSN at 9:00 PM EST
Davidson at Richmond
This is a game that has potential to be an offensive battle. Along with that, Richmond has a must win against a Davidson team that is shooting well. The one thing that helps Richmond here is that Davidson is bad on the road. Still, Richmond has to win this game to keep their at-large hopes alive. They are on the outside looking in right now.
The game is on Tuesday on ESPN+ at 7:00 EST
Duquesne at VCU
The Rams aren’t fighting for the 4-seed anymore, but Duquesne still is. Duquesne needs a win to keep pace with Bona for that spot. VCU is only trying to increase their seeding for Brooklyn. Duquesne has struggled on the road, but they seem to have gotten over that hump with a recent win at Bona.
The game is on Tuesday on ESPN+ at 7:00 EST
St. Joseph’s at St. Bonaventure
This looks like the Bonnies should win this one comfortably, but with the home loss to Duquesne and the shocking loss at La Salle, the Bonnie are on upset alert again against a St. Joe’s team that has gained more confidence after wins against Davidson and Fordham. The Hawks have yet to win on the road in the A10 this season, which plays in the Bonnies’ favor. Bona needs this win to stay in the race for 4th.
The game is on Wednesday on ESPN+ at 7:00 EST
Richmond at Duquesne
#FridA10 is going to start off with a bang with Richmond playing a road game at Duquesne. The Spiders once again need this one for their at-large hopes and Duquesne needs this one to stay in the double-bye hunt. This should be a good one.
The game is on Friday on ESPN+ at 7:00 EST
Rhode Island at Massachusetts
The Rhody Rams can’t afford a loss against a sneaky good UMass team in Amherst. They have to win out in order to stay in the at-large conversation.
The game is on Saturday on ESPN+ at 7:00 EST
St. Bonaventure at Saint Louis
This could end up being the game that seals the 4th seed for either one of these teams or for Duquesne if the tiebreaker works in the way of the Dukes. The loser will be out of the hunt with Duquesne for the double-bye. On the other hand, the winner could seal up the double-bye for themselves.
The game is on Saturday on Fox Sports Midwest/Stadium at 8:00 EST.
College Gameday at Dayton
Last but not least, College Gameday is coming to Dayton on Saturday morning. This is the second time Gameday will be at an A10 school, with La Salle being the other, but it was at The Palestra in Philly for a Big 5 game against Temple. However, location on campus is still to be determined due to UD Arena hosting the A10 Women’s Basketball Tournament. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all Flyer fans. I’m sure all the Flyer fans will be LOWD and bring a bunch of awesome and hilarious signs.
College Gameday is broadcasted on Saturday morning on ESPN from 11:00 – 12:00.
