Former Richmond Spider Khwan Fore has signed to play professional basketball in Cyprus with Koop Spor of the Super Ligi. Fore says it is a one year contract, joining Shawndre Jones and T.J. Cline as recent former Spiders to play professionally in the Mediterranean region.
I asked Fore on Twitter why he chose to sign with Koop Spor.
“[Koop Spor] looks like a good organization and a nice city as well as the support the team gets,” he wrote back.
Fore played his first three seasons for Chris Mooney, averaging 11 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a redshirt junior in the 2017-2018 season. After graduating from the University of Richmond, he transferred to Louisville to play for Chris Mack in the 2018-2019 season, his final year of eligibility.
Richmond fans could still be yet to see his final performance in the blue and red, however.

In an interview from July 2019, he said he would very likely be joining The Web, a Richmond alumni team competing in the TBT Tournament that included Jones, Cline, Justin Harper, Terry Allen and others. Fore was in attendance at the Siegel Center, but chose not to participate as he took the summer off to train. As a 6 seed, The Web defeated 3 seed-The Green Machine (George Mason Alumni) before losing to Team DRC in the second round.
