It was announced on Thursday that recent Rhode Island commit Amir Harris has backed out of his commitment to the Rams. The 2018 point guard recently decided on Dan Hurley, but then came the influx of recruits. Most notably, 3 star point guard Brendan Adams chose Rhode Island this past weekend. That gives the Rams much depth at the helm moving forward with Adams, Russell, and Dowtin. It’s more than likely that Amir Harris, a 2 star guard from Maryland, is looking to play somewhere where he’ll end up getting more playing time than URI.

Corey Evans notes that Rhode Island will still have the best 2018 recruiting class in the A-10. With the recent commitment of 4 star forward Jermaine Harris, that holds true.
