Rhode Island and Danny Hurley kept the ball rolling on Sunday, receiving a commitment from 2018 forward Dana Tate. The rising senior the MacDuffie School in San Diego California is a 6-7, 2 star commit. Massachusetts and Richmond were also in the mix for Tate, but he ultimately decided on the Rams, giving the rising Atlantic 10 power even more momentum.
Tate has a myriad of skills, but he’s at his best when he’s attacking the rim. He’s got the ability to slice and dice through defenses with ease, and he scores at the rim like no other. He should be a great addition to Rhode Island, a team that will lose Jarvis Garrett, Jared Terrell, and E.C. Matthews after the 2017-18 season. Tate is the Rams’ first commit from the class of 2018. The Rams haven’t had a player like Tate in a while; a versatile wing who can score both inside and outside. Rhode Island is very guard-oriented this season, and it will play that way, but Tate will give the Rams both versatility and size during the 2018-19 season.

I love what you said about Tate, but he’s a 3 star recruit not a 2…
Saw 2 star on Verbal Commits. Think it depends on what site you look at.
3 star on scout and rivals
Just FYI – The MacDuffie School is in Granby, MA – not in San Diego.
