Four Atlantic 10 teams in the mix for 2018 forward Samba Diallo

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzAugust 15, 2017No Comments2 Mins Read

ESPN 4 star recruit Samba Diallo is down to his final five schools — four of which are from the Atlantic 10. Samba Diallo is down to Massachusetts, VCU, Saint Joseph’s, St. Bonaventure, and Hofstra. He originally had 11 offers, including Rutgers, Monmouth, and Iona among others. The highly touted 6-7 wing has a grade of 82 according to ESPN, and he ranks 30th for his position, 28th in his region, and 5th in the state of New Jersey. Diallo is from Sparta, NJ at Pope John XXIII; he’ll be a big pick up for whatever school manages to land him.

Samba Diallo, a class of 2018 SF from the NY Jayhawks, is down to UMass, VCU, Saint Joseph’s, St. Bonaventure & Hofstra, per a source.

Samba Diallo has a quick first step and is at his best when attacking off the dribble. He’s great with his left hand, and he’s especially good at finishing through contact. At 6-7, Diallo is no pushover small forward. He plays bigger than what he’s listed at, and he slashes through opposing defenses with versatility and craftiness. Diallo would be a great addition to any of these A-10 teams, especially as schools like Massachusetts, VCU, and Saint Joseph’s begin to reload with young talent. St. Bonaventure will need to find replacements for Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley after the 2017-18 season, and Samba Diallo could be a newfound stud in the Atlantic 10.
