It was announced on Monday that VCU would host VMI in the non-conference portion of the 2017-18 season. The Rams are coming off a 26-9 season that featured a first round exit in the NCAA Tournament. With a new head coach in Mike Rhoades and new faces in its 2017 recruiting class, the Rams will have a different look next year. VMI went 6-24 last season but almost beat Richmond to start the regular season. The Rams last faced VMI back in 2010 and defeated the Keydets 86-80.
VCU will host VMI as part of its 2017-18 non-conference schedule, per a source.
