La Salle’s B.J. Johnson will be returning to school for his senior season. The Syracuse transfer averaged 17.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last year. Johnson announced back in late March that he’d enter the draft without an agent to receive an evaluation. It appears that Johnson has gotten feedback from the process, and he’s decided that it’s in his best interest to return to La Salle for his senior season.

La Salle finished 8th in the Atlantic 10 this past season thanks mostly to B.J. Johnson, Jordan Price, and Pookie Powell. Though Price will graduate from La Salle, the other two will return; they should both have big seasons with the Explorers. As long as B.J. Johnson’s around, there is no reason La Salle can’t finish in the top half of the Atlantic 10 next year. With a lot of offseason departures and roster changes, the league seems like it’s going to be pretty wide open. Look for B.J. Johnson to have a big year that could land him a spot on the Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference.
