Jack Gibbs and Tyler Cavanaugh perform well in College All-Star Game

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzApril 1, 2017No Comments1 Min Read

Davidson’s Jack Gibbs and George Washington’s Tyler Cavanaugh had one last chance to show their skills on the collegiate level on Friday night. On the Final Four court in Phoenix, the two outgoing seniors led the East team to a 121-90 victory over the West in the Reese’s College All-Star Game. George Washington’s Tyler Cavanaugh was named player of the game for the east as he went for 19 points and 14 boards. Jack Gibbs of Davidson also had a nice showing with 20 points thanks to 6 three pointers.

The two seniors meant a ton to their teams and will unfortunately be graduating and moving on from the Atlantic 10. Whether or not Gibbs or Cavanaugh will play on the next level is still up in the air. While probably not NBA Draft picks, both players have a decent enough chance of making an NBA Summer League Roster. Based on their performances on Friday night, it wouldn’t be surprising to see either player get a chance at the next level.
