Dayton’s John Crosby to transfer from the program

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzApril 18, 2017No Comments1 Min Read

It was announced on Monday night that Dayton’s John Crosby will transfer from the program. Following the decommitment of McKinley Wright, the starting point guard position at Dayton was up in the air. Without Crosby, the Flyers’ situation becomes even more dire. Dayton doesn’t have a true point guard on its roster (other than walk-on Jack Westerfield), so Anthony Grant is going to have to get creative if he isn’t able to land a PG before the start of next season.

Dayton’s John Crosby will transfer, per release.

Crosby played in 32 games last season, though he averaged just 13.3 minutes per contest and only scored 2.8 points per game. Crosby was expected to play a bigger role for the Flyers next season, but it seems that ship has sailed. Dayton’s new head coach Anthony Grant will have 3 scholarship spots to fill before the start of next season.
