4 Atlantic 10 Players will be playing in this year’s Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, a 4-day tournament featuring 64 of the best collegiate seniors in the nation. The Portsmouth Invitational allows outgoing players a chance to play in front of NBA scouts and show why they deserve to be drafted in a couple of months. The Portsmouth Invitational will take place April 12th-15th in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Tyler Cavanaugh (George Washington), JeQuan Lewis (VCU), Charles Cooke (Dayton), and Scoochie Smith (Dayton) will all be participating. Check out the full list of all 64 participants here. T.J. Cline received an invitation to the event, but he will not be attending due to a nagging foot injury. Due to the same injury, T.J. Cline was unable to participate in the Reese’s College All-Star Game, an esteemed event that Jack Gibbs and Tyler Cavanaugh got the chance to participate in.
Cavanaugh, Lewis, Cooke, and Smith all proved to be incredibly talented players in the Atlantic 10, and they’re now hoping that that talent can carry over to the next level. All 4 seniors made either the Atlantic 10 First Team or Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference this past season.
