Saint Joseph’s gets commitment from 2018 point guard Jared Bynum

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzMarch 28, 2017No Comments1 Min Read

This past week, the Saint Joseph’s Hawks landed a new recruit from the class of 2018 in Jared Bynum, a point guard from Georgetown Preparatory School in Washington, D.C. Bynum is a 5-8, 150 lb. 2 star recruit who will join the Hawks the year after Shavar Newkirk graduates. Bynum is Saint Joseph’s first commitment in the Class of 2018.

Jared Bynum maybe small, but he’s got excellent dribbling ability and is lighting fast. He’s a true point guard who can pass, shoot, and drive as a junior in high school. He’s still got another year to further develop his game before playing ball in the Atlantic 10. Depending on what other players Saint Joseph’s is able to bring in from the Class of 2018, I’d expect Bynum to get minutes his freshman season behind LaMarr Kimble at point guard.
