After just one game Tuesday night and no games on Monday, the Atlantic 10 is back with a triad of games! The theme of the night is standings position, as everyone playing tonight is within a game or two of being in an entirely different position in the conference standings.
George Washington vs Duquesne | 7 ET | ASN
Both teams enter Wednesday’s game looking to end losing skids. GW has lost five of their last six, dating back to the loss at Miami. The Colonials’only win during that span came at home against Davidson nearly two weeks ago. Duquesne has lost two of three, with their only win coming against Saint Louis. Both teams have combined to win just three games since December 22nd: not exactly the world’s greatest stat. Both teams enter the game sitting at 9-9 overall, though the Dukes have a slight advantage in the A-10 standings, sitting at 2-3, while GW is just 1-4.
UMass vs Saint Joseph’s | 7 ET |
Both teams enter coming off tough losses, and will look for a bit of redemption in a key matchup. UMass is coming off a brutal 79-77 loss at Rhode Island, while Saint Joseph’s dropped a 70-66 decision at home against Richmond on Saturday. Both teams had significant trouble closing out their last games, so look for that to be a point of emphasis, especially if this one is close down the stretch.
Fordham vs VCU | 7 ET |
After having their eight-game winning streak snapped at the hands of Davidson on Saturday, VCU will look to get back on the horse with a win on the road against Fordham. Fordham enters having lost 10 of their last 12 games, and will look to get just their second win in conference play. For VCU, this is really not a game you want to lose, since a loss on the road to a bottom-tier RPI opponent would really put a dent into their NCAA Tournament hopes. Never too early to start thinking about bracketology!
