With a talented 2017 recruiting class already locked up, the future of Saint Louis basketball just became even brighter. As reported by Evan Daniels, freshman guard Ty Gaves has announced he will transfer from Boston College to Saint Louis.

ESPN rated Gaves as a 3-star shooting guard coming out of high school. Gaves was a top 15 player from the state of North Carolina and certainly has some upside. At 6’0″, Gaves might be undersized, but do not hold that against him. Dayton’s starting shooting guard, Kyle Davis, is also 6’0″ and many consider Davis to be one of the A-10’s better players. Gaves averaged 4.8 points in his 11 games with Boston College. This addition adds another solid piece to Travis Ford’s masterful puzzle. Expect the Billikens to improve quite a bit over the next few seasons.
