St. Bonaventure’s Courtney Stockard Suffers Injury

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzOctober 25, 20161 Comment1 Min Read

Courtney Stockard of St. Bonaventure has apparently suffered an injury in his right foot, though there has been no official release of information or no saying how serious this injury may be. The Bonnies’ junior redshirted a year ago after sitting breaking a bone in the exact same foot. It seems as if Stockard may have re-injured the foot that’s caused him issues in the past, and this could be troublesome for the Bonnies.

Stockard is a junior college transfer who’s expected to get serious playing time at the 3 along with rising senior Denzel Gregg. Provided he’s healthy and able to play for the Bonnies this season, he could be a crucial wing to a team that was picked to finish 5th in the Atlantic 10 Conference this year.

As much as this sucks for Stockard, and i feel awful for him, i think it opens up an opportunity for Coburn and Ayeni to step up as true freshman and show what they can bring to the program!
