Dayton just added their third commitment to the 2017 recruiting class McKinley Wright announced he will join Archie Miller and the Flyers. As a 3-star point guard out of Minnesota, Wright received many offers. Schools like Oklahoma, Xavier, Iowa State, Memphis, Minnesota, Texas, and many others all wanted the 6’0″ guard. Wright ended up choosing Dayton over his hometown Golden Gophers because the Flyers, as he said in his commitment video, “believed in him the longest and made his new home feel like home.”

Wright ranks as a top 250 player nationally and the No. 5 player out of the state of Minnesota. His superb ability to run facilitate, play defense, and run the team make him a perfect fit at Dayton. With floor general Scoochie Smith graduating after this season, the Flyers trying to figure out who their next point guard leader will be. Archie Miller and his staff might have just found that with Wright.

Wright will join Jordan Davis and Jordan Pierce in Dayton’s 2017 recruiting class thus far. With four seniors graduating after this season, the Flyers still have two more scholarship offers available. The addition of Wright certainly makes Dayton’s already bright future even more impressive.
