VCU to host Virginia in the 2017-18 non-conference season

Grant LabedzBy Grant LabedzAugust 10, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

It was reported on Wednesday by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that Virginia and VCU would begin a home-and-home series beginning in 2017 and concluding in 2018. The Rams will play host to the Cavaliers on November 17th, 2017, and Virginia will host their instate rival in 2018.

VCU and Virginia will start a home-and-home series on 11/17/17 at the Siegel Center, sources told @CBSSports. Return game at JPJ in 2018.

These two teams don’t have a history of hating one another like VCU and Richmond do, but it’s always a battle when they meet up. The Rams stole one from the Cavs on the road back in 2014 before they returned the favor in the Siegel Center in 2015. Who could forget this game winning shot that Trevor Graham hit just two seasons ago?

Expect more of this kind of stuff. If you like college basketball in the state of Virginia, you’ll like these upcoming matchups.
