Miami will host the first game on December 22nd, while the Colonials will host in the 2017-18 season. The game presents an enormous opportunity for GW to a quality win and a significant RPI-boost. Last season, the Hurricanes reached the Sweet 16, before falling to eventual national champion, Villanova, 92-69, finishing the season 27-8 overall.
Miami is coached by Jim Larranaga, who led famously led George Mason to the 2006 Final Four.
