Today we learned another piece to George Washington’s 2016-17 non-conference puzzle: Maryland-Eastern Shore. Though we don’t know the date of the matchup just yet, we do know that this will be a very winnable game for the Colonials. The Hawks were 10-22 (7-9 MEAC) last season, but they did play one of the toughest non-conferences schedules in 2015. Maryland Eastern-Shore lost to St. Joseph’s 68-78 last season.

The Hawks lose their top 2 scoring options from last season; they’ll be trying to rebuild just like the Colonials will be. The 2016 NIT Champions lose a load of seniors but return some solid talent and also bring in a few transfers that will make immediate impacts.
As far as George Washington’s schedule goes, we know that the Colonials will be facing Maryland-Eastern Shore, Howard, and either Kansas, Georgia, or UAB in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.
