Hoop Ten’s 10 Stats is a series on Hoop Ten Harbor that looks at some of the most interesting statistics regarding games in the Atlantic 10 conference. Our site uses Kenpom to look at some of the intricacies of the games across the A10. Today, we’ll take a look at George Mason’s road win over Saint Louis on Sunday night. The Patriots fought hard to pick up the win and scored 58 second half points against the Billikens.

1

1 is the number of conference wins that each of these two teams has thus far. Both the Patriots and the Billikens have struggled out to 1-4 records and will hope to turn things around in a hurry.

2

2 is the number of turnovers that Saint Louis committed as a team against George Mason. This stat is incredible given the fact that the Billikens normally average 14.8 per game.

3

3 is the number of three pointers that George Mason freshman Otis Livingston hit on Sunday afternoon. Despite a good showing, he’s shooting just 30% from range on the year.

4

4 is the number of offensive rebounds that George Mason’s Shevon Thompson was able to pull down. He’s been great glass, averaging 3.6 offensive boards per contest in conference play.

5

5 is the number of three pointers that the Billikens hit on Sunday afternoon. Saint Louis has been struggling with its shot, and the issues continued against Mason. They went just 5-18 (27.8%).

6

6 is the number of assists that George Mason freshman Otis Livingston recorded on Sunday afternoon. That marks a career-high for Livingston who now has 19 in his last 4 games.

7

7 is the number of free throw attempts and makes that Aaron Hines had for Saint Louis. He’s now 9-9 for the year from the charity stripe and would certainly benefit from getting there more often.

8

8 is the number of blocks that George Mason had as a team against the Saint Louis Billikens. DeAndre Abram and Jalen Jenkins helped contribute to that stat with 3 apiece.

9

9 is the number of field goals and defensive rebounds that Mason junior Marquise Moore had against the Billikens. In addition, he and Saint Louis’ Mike Crawford led all scores with 22.

10

10 is the number of consecutive games in which Saint Louis Billiken Ash Yacoubou has scored at least 8 points. He leads his team at 11.6 points per contest. He had 15 against Mason.
