Marcus Bartley had a career-high 17 points for Saint Louis, as the Billikens pulled away from UMass to secure a big road win. Reynolds and Bishop added 14 points, and Jolly had 10 for Saint Louis who improve to 8-11 (3-4 A10). Trey Davis dropped 36 points for the Minutemen who fall to 8-10 (1-5 A10).
UMass actually carried a three point lead, 40-37, into the second half before Saint Louis went on a 17-0 run to put the game out of the reach. The loss is UMass’ 5th in a row, with their last victory coming against La Salle on January 3rd. Saint Louis, on the other hand, has now won back-to-back as they head into the most difficult portion of their conference schedule.
Saint Louis next plays at Dayton on January 27th at 7PM, while UMass next plays at Saint Joseph’s on January 27th at 7PM.
