Before I get started on normal posts on A10 Talk, I thought it would be helpful to the current readers of the blog (am I allowed to call it a blog?) to introduce myself. I’m a Duquesne guy. I started writing about my alma mater on blogger four years ago when there was a brief lapse in coverage of the Dukes by both major newspapers in Pittsburgh with a few other graduates. Last summer, Fansided picked us up and we started WeWeartheRing.com. Due to a time conflict on my part, we regrettably had to leave FS and our sweet URL behind. Now, I’m back to independent writing which freed me up to join the fine staff here.
If you’re unfamiliar with my style, I enjoy using a research based approach to arrive at my conclusions. Much of what I intend to do here will be 3 parts investigation to 1 part editorializing. The business of sports is nearly as interesting as the sports themselves for me anymore. I also love a good underdog story which explains how I have been so tolerant of my Dukes for so long and why the A-10 on aggregate lights my creative juices on fire.
I have never and will never call myself a reporter. If you’re looking for someone to break stories, it won’t be me. My goal is to provide interesting, thought provoking content. For those who missed this post, I hope that they will have no idea what school I’m affiliated with. I am a fan, but I’m able to turn off bias.
I’m not the world’s best proof reader so I apologize in advance for the typos.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading the last 275 words of self indulgence. If you would like to follow me on twitter, you can find me at @SteveDiMiceli.
