UMass to face Temple in the 2016-17 non-conference season

It was announced by CBS Sports on Friday that UMass and Temple would begin a home-and-home series beginning in the 2016-17 season and finishing in the 2018-19 season. This year’s game will be played on November 17th in Amherst, and the return game in 2018 will be played in Philadelphia.

This should be a solid game for both teams as they’ll look to improve from last season. The Owls made the 2016 NCAA Tournament but lost in the first round to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Massachusetts finished 10th in the Atlantic 10 last season; Temple won the American Athletic Conference. The Minutemen will look to utilize a strong incoming recruiting class next season.
