Sunday Matinee in the A10

A busy weekend in A10 conference play culminated with one game on Sunday. A game with two teams proving to be somewhat of a surprise this season.

George Mason 69 George Washington 62

Possessions: 67

Offensive efficiency: George Mason 103, George Washington 93

Host George Mason stopped a two game skid,  avenging an earlier loss at George Washington back in January. The story here was the boards. The Patriots owned a 48-32 advantage in rebounding. They pulled down 16 on the offensive end while enjoying a 42-20 edge in offensive rebounding percentage. Josh Oduro led the way with a 27 point, 14 rebound (6 offensive) effort. D’Shawn Schwartz added 19 points. Schwartz canned four of George Mason’s five three pointers.  Colonials were paced by Joe Bamisile’s 18 points. A bright spot for George Washington, now in a two game slide, was a low 13% turnover rate.
