Rhode Island hires Eric Youncofski as Director of Basketball Operations

The Rhode Island Rams hired Eric Youncofski as Director of Basketball Operations yesterday, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Youncofski was a graduate assistant with the program last season after having been a walk-on guard with the Rams.

This seems like a good hire, promoting a guy within the program that’s been around for quite some time. He’ll help coach the Rams to what they’ll hope is going to be a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Rhode Island is currently looking like the preseason favorite to win the Atlantic 10 this year.
