Race to the Top 4: Who’s Still In It?

The biggest part of talking about the A10 standings is who’s going to finish in the top 4 of the league and get the coveted double-bye.  Right now, there seems to be two locked in teams in Dayton and Rhode Island, as each team has 9 wins in conference play with Rhody having the only loss early on to Richmond at home.  Now that we are at the halfway point of the season, it’s time to see who is in the hunt for what is presumed the final two spots in the top 4 of the conference.

VCU
VCU seems to always be in this position and look to be on their way to another top 4 spot this year.  After losing to Dayton on the road and Rhode Island twice, the Rams sit outside the top 4 right now with a 6-3 record in conference play.  However, they have dismantled everyone else in the A10, including fellow city foe Richmond.  VCU still has to visit The Robins Center, host Dayton, and host Duquesne.  They also host Davidson twice, who is surging as of late.  Still, there’s a good chance the Rams make...
