The Duquesne Dukes will have to wait longer to begin Atlantic 10 competition as their Dec. 19 game versus Richmond has been Postponed, A10 Talk learned from the Duquesne Athletic Department via a press release. The postponement is “due to a positive COVID test within the Duquesne program,” the athletics department announced. No makeup date has been announced.
Saturday’s contest was the fourth game of the season for Duquesne that had been canceled and/or postponed. The Dukes’ third game of the Wade Houston Tipoff Classic against Winthrop on Dec. 4 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky was canceled. Two games hastily thrown onto the Dukes’ nonconference schedule in Indianapolis – Dec. 14 against Southern Illinois and Dec. 16 against Loyola-Chicago – were also canceled barely a week after they had been scheduled.
Duquesne is 1-1 on the season, defeating UNC Greensboro 81-68 on Dec 2 after falling to Little Rock 76-66 on Nov. 30 in the Wade Houston Tipoff Classic opener.
