Dennis Green is that you? I agree on Umass but, like Lasalle, they can be dangerous.
Davidson is a problem. We can’t help off shooters so in Shoon (and the refs) we trust.
There are other parts of this that benefit teams (not us).
I know we’ve had unbalanced scheduling before (due to wins/losses and teams playing Fordham or worse twice), but this is complete garbage at first glance.
Gotta try to remain calm and focused. I feel myself sliding into the “woe...
I’m sure most of you remember the box scores of Davidson games (if you dared to look at them) so I will spare you all those. You guys also know me as someone who thinks stats are overrated... yep. But...
Remember that Army game from a few years ago? Yeah, this one...
It’s hard to out-athlete these Davidson teams but P5 (yuck) teams seem to do it well.
I’ve said it before here and elsewhere, but I can’t stand Davidson. A10 brethren be damned; they’re Bona killers. Schmidt’s teams struggle with that motion offense unless someone on the opposing team goes...
That pretty much sums it up. You could also add:
Please don’t have Dom dig hard on ball side and leave three point shooter.
Please don’t have Boachie-Yiadom play out of his mind again.
Please don’t let Grady get under Kyle’s skin.
Please don’t let Dom underestimate Lee.
Please let the refs...
You’ll like Adaway. He’s what Sincere Carry tries to look like but can’t pull off. I expect at least one “holy hell” dunk from him next year.
Metcalf is hopefully more skilled than our project 4s have been in recent memory. If he can give some year 1 Denzel minutes without the horrid head turn...
Adaway can actually play the 3/4 like we did with Dris at times. He is the best athlete on the team and can hit threes. He is strong and athletic enough to defend multiple positions.
The age structure we have now is unlike anything we’ve had in the Schmidt era. Heck, his first few years had juniors and seniors thanks to holdovers and solid transfers (Chris Mathews).
We are young and it shows. The youth isn’t necessarily a reason for some of our play this season, but it...
Last year’s SLU team hurt us with a sustained run that just so happened to coincide with one of our scoring droughts. Most runs happen like that, but when we can’t score, we REALLY can’t score.
Their rentaplayers and timely threes KILLED us last year. This year they have Perkins who, like said...
He knows Schmidt and what we’re all about. The small sample size (one game that he saw... he isn’t Dr. John and doesn’t know every A10 kid) and the standings should’ve been enough to mention us. I hope it just slipped his mind.
H
lol! He actually posted something similar, too.
I’ll finish my thought for you, man. I expect to play better but lose by 8 or 9.
It’s different from “I can see us going 10-12 from three and winning by 50” as some BW guys would say.
