    2022 Recruiting

I am hoping Schmidt and co. will build this roster for continuity but also a la 2011-2012 with the capability and realistic expectation of going 8-9 deep with legitimate options off the bench. The 2012-2013 team with the vestiges of that tourney team minus Nicholson was full of talent. Many...

    The Bannedwagon Thread

It's wonderful how the moderators of that "sports" board allow and approve the political bullshit of posters. Not sure why the usual suspects even need to veil the phrase "Let's go Brandon." That's nothing compared to the other ridiculous shit that's been posted over there for the past couple...

    Welcome Justin Ndjock-Tadjore to SBU

It won’t even be the last name—that’s a given. He will be known as Jason soon enough (see: Jason Winston circa 2019-20).

[Insert authentic frontier gibberish recruiting “analysis” of each by a certain poster from the land of 10,000 lakes here]

With how much NPH and the Sbiets gas up their guys and try to blow up their recruitment, I doubt we were involved to any significant degree. The BW blew the hell up with the obsession over that kid. That's just a microcosm of what goes on over there.

Mnbonnie’s posts. Good lord that shit is funny. The unintended humor of those typing blunders, blatantly incorrect names, and incoherent thoughts gets me every damn time.

Lester, where did you learn to be so articulate in such a short amount of time? I think the answer lies with a certain former star of the San Francisco Dons...

    Bonnies @ Saint Louis (Sat. 03/07/2020 @ 8:00pm)

I’m hoping that these lopsided losses where the guys get worked show a couple things to the team: 1) They need to get stronger and markedly better in certain facets of their individual games 2) The coaching staff realizes we need a guy who can score, a backup pg, and a serviceable big guy...

Totally agree. I'm really just perplexed as to what he is hoping to get out of his player-bashing posts. We can all have those thoughts (and we all do after games like this), but posting them on a public forum is just stupid. Text your buddies about it rather than bringing that shit to this...

2020 Atlantic 10 Tournament (March 11-15, Brooklyn, NY)

I acknowledged the Davidson game's damage to perception. I'm just saying that the standings matter more than an outlier shitty performance. However, just to add a counterclaim, the following are games he has also had a front-row seat for relative blowouts: VCU at SLU and VCU at Rhody. I agree...

2020 Atlantic 10 Tournament (March 11-15, Brooklyn, NY)

Duquesne beat Fordham both times, but I get the sentiment. They are SOMEHOW still being talked about on broadcasts as being contenders in the A10. I just do not see it. I do not believe they have had any significant injuries to explain some of their losses, which makes it even more...

    Lunardi: Tournament Eligibility Criteria

We agree on this, obviously. Age aside, we all have seen the likes of Duke vs Kansas too many times to give a shit.

    Lunardi: Tournament Eligibility Criteria

In my opinion, "March Madness" insinuates upsets by schools that are not well-known over the bigger schools that are well-known. The trend to bump deserving teams in favor of middling P5/BE teams is disconcerting (Miller, Captain John), much like the statue of liberty being kaputt.
