Duquesne conference opener postponed again

The Duquesne Dukes will have to wait just a little longer to open conference play. The Dukes’ Jan. 2 home opener against George Mason has been postponed, the athletic department announced Wednesday citing COVID-19 protocols within the Duquesne program.

While the rescheduled date has not yet been announced, George Mason has scheduled a trip to No. 6 Kansas on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022.

This is the third game that Duquesne has had canceled or postponed; their Dec. 22 nonconference finale versus Wofford was canceled and their Dec. 30 conference opener versus Davidson has been postponed as well. The Dukes are coming off a Dec. 19 win over UC Irvine, 76-54. They are now scheduled to open conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 5 against George Washington at 7 p.m. at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
