You lose credibility when you rank Davidson (1-2) above Richmond (3-0). Not only did UR beat GW (Dav lost), but UR beat Davidson AT Davidson

    • Grant Labedz on January 9, 2017 10:57 AM

Ok, but you do realize you have to look at the ENTIRE season, right? How do I put Richmond above GW when the Spiders lose to Oral Roberts and Bucknell in non-conference play and pick up ZERO good wins and GW gets good wins over Temple and UCF? Just because UR beat two road teams to start conference play doesn’t mean it’s all of a sudden the 5th best team in the Atlantic 10…

I thought Davidson was a good school. Your logic is flawed.

Grant – Jim was actually asking about Davidson being ahead of UR. Davidson has no wins over Top 100 teams and its best true road win to date was over Mercer. Oh, and they lost to UR.

But they did get double-digit home wins over Appalachian St., Hartford and Jacksonville. So they have that and a #6 ranking in the A-10 from one of their own undergrads going for them.

Davidson is 90 in RPI compared to Richmond’s 138. Wildcats also have 90th hardest SOS to Richmond’s 184th. Richmond has two bad losses and Davidson’s only “bad” loss is to Richmond. I’ll give you the fact that Davidson doesn’t have any good wins, but Richmond’s only good win is over Davidson, and the Spiders have much worse losses than the Wildcats.

Given that you are just a freshman, you may not yet have taken a course on logic at Davidson but I would love to hear your answer to the following question: Is the UR win at GW a good win or is the Davidson loss at GW a bad loss?
