A10 Player of the Year Rankings: 1/16

As week two of A10 action had concluded, we have some changes in the Top 5. Below are my weekly POY Rankings in the A10. Let me know what you think!

1) Jack Gibbs, Davidson- Last week we said Gibbs would have to mend his shooting struggles in order to retain the top spot. He did just that. Gibbs shot 100% from three against GMU, and 41% against Dayton. Gibbs will look to continue his hot streak against UMass.

2) Terry Allen, Richmond- With the emergence of Marshall Wood, Terry Allen has been silently going to work. Terry dropped a sly 26 points against La Salle while shooting 83% from the field. Terry also grabbed 16 rebounds and dished 3 assists against the Explorers. Allen will face VCU’s Havoc defense on Saturday, it will be interesting to see how he holds up.

3) DeAndre Bembry, St. Joes- Bembry had a strong showing at GMU on Wednesday which moves him up a spot. The 6’6 forward had 16 points along with 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Bembry will have to pick up his scoring this week if he wants to move up another spot, I think he’ll just do that. Bembry and the Hawks face Fordham on Saturday.

4) Jordan Price, La Salle- The do-it-all man for the Explorers had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in an upset win over #25 Dayton. Price has been very consistent all year, but the 6 turnovers against Richmond is what drops him down a spot this week.

5) Isaiah Miles, St. Joes- Miles breaks into the top 5 this week after a stellar performance against GMU. Miles had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks. Miles shot 72% from the field and 50% from three. A breakout star for the Hawks, Miles will look to continue his outstanding play against Fordham.

I only go to Richmond games for the free fries. Follow me on Twitter @sphamilton34
