The Massachusetts Minutemen (3-1, 0-0 A-10) easily defeated the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Blue Devils (1-4, 0-0 NEC) 89-60 on Wednesday afternoon. CCSU had the 1-0 lead to start the game, but after that, the Minutemen controlled the game the rest of the way. Two Minutemen had breakout nights for UMass to help them in the win.

UMass had a total of three players in double-digit scoring Wednesday afternoon. Matt Cross led both teams in scoring with 31 points, which is a new career high for Cross. Josh Cohen had 26 points, and Jaylen Curry posted a career-high 11 points. Tarique Foster notched 6 points which ties his career high, Keon Thompson had 4 points, Rahsool Diggins had 3 points, and Jayden Ndjigue, Daniel Hankins-Sanford, Marqui Worthy, and Mathok Majok all scored 2 points apiece.

The Minutemen are off until Saturday, December 2nd when they face the University of South Florida Bulls (2-2, 0-0 AAC) in the Mullins Center at 1pm. This will be the third time these two teams meet, and the teams have split the series history at 1-1. Last season, the Minutemen beat the Bulls 73-67 in Tampa, Florida. This will close a five-game homestand for the Minutemen.
