Marcus Santos-Silva will Transfer from VCU

Shakeup in Richmond

Richmond, VA —

Virginia Commonwealth University’s leading scorer and rebounder from 2019-2020 will enter the transfer portal, per Marcus Santos-Silva’s Instagram post.  MSS posted last night “I want to say thank you to VCU, Ramnnation and especially the coaching staff you guys believed in me and gave me a chance when no one else did.  You’ve guys made my three years at VCU incredible and I’ll never forget that.  With that being said I’ve decided to transfer from the school.  My decision has nothing to do with the team or coaches, they’re always going to be family to me.  I’m just doing what I feel is the best option and decision for my future.  Thank you so much and I’ll always love you guys.”

The junior will definitely be missed in what will likely be a down year for the Rams, yet they have a bright future.  VCU added Coppin State University transfer, Brendan Medley-Bacon (7’1″ 245 lbs.) yesterday as well.    It is currently unknown on where he will transfer to, but we will be sure to keep you up to date on A10Talk.
