Will the Bonnie’s be an at large if they lose another game

— Andy Maguire (@UncleDrew34150) January 17, 2018

Honestly, it’s pretty unlikely that the Bonnies get an at-large at this point, but yes, I think if they want any shot, they pretty much have to win out the rest of the season, maybe sneak away with 1 loss.

How many losses in conference play can URI afford (other than at Bona and at VCU) and still be a solid at large candidate?

— Jay Cohenford (@jaycoh22) January 17, 2018

We’re getting to the point where a loss against VCU might be a “bad loss,” but regardless, I think Rhode Island needs to go at least 15-3 to have a sturdy resume heading into the A-10 Tournament. Most reputable Bracketologists seem to have the Rams as an 8 or 9 seed, and rising, so barring a major slip up, they will likely be a team that will make the NCAA Tournament, even without the automatic bid.

Thoughts on Davidson thus far? We haven’t played great A-10 teams, but we do have St Bonnie & Dayton back to back.

— Zack Meade (@zack_meade) January 17, 2018

Just like you said, these next games will be incredibly telling. Even though the Wildcats haven’t faced the toughest teams yet, they’ve been crushing their competition as of late, and I think this team has really improved since a rocky non-conference play. Beating St. Bonaventure at home and Dayton on the road would go a long way for this Davidson team that looks like the favorite to finish 2nd in the league this year.

Chances Dayton finishes top 4?

— Countrybilly (@pfeiffjd) January 17, 2018

Probably not, but maybe. If I had to guess, Rhode Island, Davidson, Saint Joseph’s, and St. Bonaventure will occupy the top 4 spots in some kind of order.

Is Giannini gone

— Dennis (@GipperGrove) January 17, 2018

He made such a big leap last season, that I’m hesitant to believe he could definitely be gone by the end of the year. However, if La Salle continues to lose close games, and the program continues to show frustration, we could start moving in that direction. But honestly, unless La Salle finishes lower than 10th in A-10 play, I think he’s got 1 more year.

When does Fordham abandon this preposterous 3 point strategy since they are bottom 5 in the country in 3 point percentage?

— Reel Ramz (@reelramzz) January 17, 2018

Hopefully soon… Fordham’s three point shooting has been abysmal, and I haven’t seen the Rams get a bucket inside all season long. The lack of big bodies doesn’t help.
