Maryland finds a replacement for DeJon Jarreau at point guard as former Maryland Terrapin Jaylen Brantley commits to Matt McCall and the Minutemen. Brantley will have one year of eligibility remaining with the Minutemen, and he’ll be able to play immediately. He averaged 4.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assist for Maryland last season as the Terrapins’ back up point guard. He played 16.8 minutes per contest. Brantley should serve Massachusetts’ backcourt well as it was looking somewhat thin without Jarreau at the helm. Brantley is originally from Springfield, Massachusetts.
Maryland grad transfer Jaylen Brantley tells me he committed to UMass. Immediately eligible.
