It was announced on Monday per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that Quinnipiac transfer Mikey Dixon had received an offer from Massachusetts. The 6-2 freshman scored 16.5 points per game last season and is a pretty valuable transfer. Along with Massachusetts, Dixon has received offers from St. John’s, Penn State, and USD. His first visit as a transfer will be to St. John’s this coming weekend.
Quinnipiac transfer Mikey Dixon tells me he’s received offers from St. John’s, PSU, UMass, & USD. Visits St. John’s this weekend. #SJUBB

Head coach Matt McCall is already sticking his nose in the transfer market, which is a great sign for the Minutemen. If this team could add Mikey Dixon to its arsenal, it’s going to have a dangerous backcourt in the coming seasons. The Minutemen return rising sophomores DeJon Jarreau and Luwane Pipkins. While there hasn’t been much insight as to where Dixon is leaning, I’d have to think it isn’t a good sign that he’s chosen to visit St. John’s first. We’ll have to see if Massachusetts gets a visit or remains in the hunt for this transfer.
