It was reported on Friday that St. Bonaventure would face Florida in the 2016-17 non-conference season by Mark Schmidt at a golf event. The game will be played in Gainsville, though we don’t know the date of the contest just yet.

This should be a great game for St. Bonaventure, a team that lacked a lot of difficulty in its 2015 non-conference schedule. Florida lost in the NIT Quarterfinals to George Washington last season. The Gators will return a talented backcourt with Kasey Hill and Chris Chiozza. The Bonnies will be led by rising junior Jaylen Adams next season and will be looking to win the Atlantic 10 title for the second straight year. If St. Bonaventure could win this game on the road, it would be a huge boost to its resume early in the season.
