Fordham headed to the CIT

Grant KellyBy Grant KellyMarch 11, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

After losing to Richmond in the second round of the A-10 tournament, many questions remained regarding the Fordham Rams postseason hopes. Those questions have been answered today as Fordham announces they will take part in the CIT tournament. The Rams won their final four regular season games before falling to the Spiders Thursday afternoon. They finish the season with a 17-13 overall record and will host a first round CIT game. Fordham will take on Boston University Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00 PM. This marks the Ram’s first postseason appearance since 1992. Fordham will look to continue this season’s success with an impressive CIT showing. Led by freshman guard Joseph Chartouny, the Rams have experienced a bit of a revival year. Chartouny was recently named A-10 Rookie of the Year and certainly seems to have Fordham trending in the right direction. A win against Boston U. Wednesday night at Rose Hill Gymnasium is the first step in building towards next season. I believe Fordham possesses the ability to win the whole CIT tournament. As A-10 fans, lets hope they take the title and continue moving towards a very successful future.
