Saint Joseph’s Hawks 64 Rhode Island Rams 55
Saint Joes added another win to their NCAA résumé with a road win at URI. DeAndre Bembry carried the Hawks in this one, totaling 15 points and 10 rebounds. Isaiah Miles had a team-high 17 points along with eight rebounds, while Shavar Newkirk added 12 points.
Jared Terrell lead all scorers with 22 points for Rhode Island, but did not receive much help offensively from the rest of the team. The only other Ram in double figures was Jarvis Garrett who had 13 points. Three players had six points for URI.
Saint Joes led by as many as 20 points in the second half, before Rhode Island was able to cut the lead down to nine with 1:48 left. The game got a bit chippy down the stretch after a hard URI foul, but the referees kept it from getting too out of hand.
Saint Joseph’s next plays February 3rd against Saint Bonaventure at 7PM, while Rhode Island next plays February 2nd at UMass at 7PM.

Fordham Rams 78 Massachusetts Minutemen 72 (OT)
Christian Sengfelder hit a three with 52 seconds left in overtime to secure the Fordham 78-72 overtime win. Joseph Chartouny led the Rams with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists-nearly a triple-double.
Donte Clark sank a clutch three for UMass with nine seconds remaining in regulation to force OT. Following that shot, the Minutemen only hit two field goals the rest of the game, scoring five points from the line. Trey Davis led all scorers with 21 points for UMass, while Clark had 19 points, Tyler Bergantino and CJ Anderson had nine each. David Pekarek was the only Rams, besides Chartouny, who scored in double figues. He added 11 points.
Fordham next plays on February 6th against Saint Joseph’s at 7PM, while UMass next plays on February 2nd against Rhode Island at 7PM.
Dayton Flyers 59 La Salle Explorers 44
Kendall Pollard had a game-high 18 points, along with eight rebounds to help the Flyers avenge their 61-57 loss in Philadelphia earlier this season. Dyshawn Pierre added 13 points and nine rebounds while Kyle Davis had 12 points and seven boards.
Jordan Price lead the Explorers with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Tony Washington added 10 points and eight rebounds. La Salle has now lost six in a row, and 14 of 16.
Dayton next plays February 6th at George Mason at 6PM, while La Salle next plays February 3rd against VCU at 7PM.
Duquesne Dukes 78 Saint Louis Billikens 67
Micah Mason and Derrick Colter each has 23 points for Duquesne to propel the Dukes to a big road win. Duquesne had a 10 point lead through the latter stages of this game, but Saint Louis was able to close the deficit to five, but were unable to draw closer on multiple attempts. Eric James put the exclamation point on the victory with a dunk with 23 seconds remaining. Ash Yacoubou led the Billikens with 18 points and eight rebounds.
Duquesne next plays on February 6th against Davidson at 12:30PM, while Saint Louis next plays February 7th at Saint Bonaventure at 2PM.
