The regular season is officially underway, and we are back with the fifth full season of A10Talk’s A10WBB Power Rankings! No major surprises in the opening week of the season, George Mason and Davidson both picked up impressively dominant road win, the former at James Madison, and the latter at FGCU. Both lost their road openers against likely-Quad 1 opponents (Temple and Mississippi State). Richmond cruised at home in their opener, but stumbled at #4 Texas.
Some big games ahead this week, including two very tough road games for Richmond against two NCAA Tournament teams from last year. George Mason hosts Georgetown on Friday night while Rhode Island will face Rutgers. Saint Joseph’s has a pair of P4 opponents in Cincinnati and Penn State, while Loyola Chicago has the unenviable task of playing at #1 UConn in Storrs.
