St. Louis University Billikens stopped a late comeback attempt by Rhode Island to close out the home portion of their season with a 67-63 victory.
The Rams got off to a fast start and at one point led by as many as 8, but the Billikens then reeled off a 17-2 run and never looked back.
Leading all scorers was SLU junior Brooklyn Gray with 22 points, shooting 77.9 percent from the floor. Senior guard Kennedy Calhoun added 14 points, six assists, and three steals. Senior forward Tierra Simon recorded the 10th double-double of her career with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
